Your relational patterns, embodied experiences, emotions, and sensations will show up in our work together. We will work in dialogue and relationship to raise awareness of them in non-judgmental, trauma- and shame-informed connection. You will feel seen and heard — whether in psychotherapy, coaching, or consulting.
“Who am I??” Identity development is a lifelong process of discovery, differentiation, integration, and assimilation. There is more to identity than the roles and behaviours handed to us through the conditioning of family, culture, gender, education, migration… or the survival mechanisms that start to look like “personality” if we stay in them long enough. The real work is in discerning what is genuinely ours and what we have absorbed — and then deciding, with full awareness, who and how we need to be, NOW.
The intersectional complexity of all our parts seeking authenticity is nuanced. Most of us hold multiple cultures, languages, or worlds at once, so the question is rarely “which one is the real me?” — it’s how to inhabit all of it without fragmenting, and without shrinking to fit whichever room we’re in. I work with people negotiating with systems; managing the layers of power and status assigned to them; holding and examining privilege with deep awareness; deconstructing and decolonizing ourselves; asking a lot of existential questions; making people uncomfortable in spaces designed for small talk.
These processes generate friction — in our bodies, our emotional worlds, our relationships. That isn’t a bug; it’s a feature of growth. And growth is hard: every layer involves some version of grief. Becoming who you are means letting go of who you were. That is the work, and it goes better with company.
If you are grappling with who and how you are as “weird,” “intense,” “too much”… neurodivergent (with or without formal diagnosis), gifted, profoundly gifted, twice-exceptional, ADHD or autistic — I look forward to meeting you in your unique combination of complexities. I am not here to pathologize or “fix” you — I’m here to understand your individual operating system and needs.
I also work with individuals navigating PTSD, CPTSD (developmental trauma), and the aftermath of narcissistic abuse — including the complexities of post-separation abuse.
“As humans, we are dynamic, relational processes.”
(me, in all my therapist trainings)
Therapy sessions are offered on a sliding scale. Sessions range $75 USD to $200 USD.
Open relationships, ethical non-monogamy, polycules, partnerships of any configuration — I work with sex, love, communication, and the relational field between people, not just the individuals in it. Blame- and shame-free.
For practicing therapists: consultation and supervision, individually or in small groups. Curiosity, honesty, and respect for the complexity of what you hold — plus a place to laugh about the parts of this profession nobody warned you about.
For students and therapists in training: advisory and support sessions for major papers, dissertations, and theory — and support when the training itself becomes the problem. Group conflict, institutional processes, power games, the moments when you wonder whether it’s you: it usually isn’t only you. I’ve trained therapists internationally for 18 years and I know the terrain.
You can make it fun and join one of my Humour in Therapy activities too — see Upcoming.
